Key insight into scaling a Joint Venture Partner from 40K p/m to 430K p/m in 10 weeks.

We recently entered into a Joint Venture with a partner who had built an organic following over 7 years with a unique and highly credible product. Our goal is to scale them from 40K p/m to 1M p/m, stay tuned for the 1M writeup. In this case study, we will discuss the strategies we implemented to achieve this current growth milestone and the achievements, successes and wins during the process.

Strategies;

  1. Accelerated content testing, learning and scaling framework: We heavily leaned on the fact that our partner's product was proven in the market. We utilized an accelerated content testing, learning, and scaling framework to quickly determine what type of content resonated best with our target audience. This approach enabled us to rapidly scale the content that was driving the most engagement and revenue.
  2. Profitability forecasting with Clear MER & CPA targets to aggressively scale into: To ensure that we were making the most of our advertising budget, we employed a profitability forecasting method with clear MER (Marketing Efficiency Ratio) and CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) targets. This approach enabled us to aggressively scale our advertising budget while maintaining a profitable ROI.
  3. Multi-platform approach (Facebook, IG & Google) - Utilising both Demand Generation and Demand Capture: We utilized a multi-platform approach, targeting potential customers on Facebook, Instagram, and Google. We implemented both Demand Generation and Demand Capture strategies to drive traffic and conversions to our partner's website. This approach enabled us to reach a wider audience and capture potential customers at every stage of the funnel.
  4. Trusting and aligned partnership: We established a trusting and aligned partnership with our Joint Venture partner. This approach enabled us to work together to achieve our common goal of rapidly scaling their revenue. We communicated frequently and were transparent about our strategies and results, which helped us to make informed decisions and adjust our approach as needed.
  5. Expanded our targeting strategy and offering internationally, expanding reach: To further expand our reach, we expanded our targeting strategy and offerings internationally. We targeted potential customers in the US, UK, New Zealand, and Germany. This approach enabled us to tap into new markets and expand our revenue streams.

Achievements;

As a result of our strategies, we achieved the following milestones during the 10-week period:

  1. Expanded into US, UK, New Zealand, and Germany: We successfully expanded our Joint Venture partner's reach to new markets, including the US, UK, New Zealand, and Germany. This expansion enabled us to increase our revenue streams and tap into new customer bases.
  2. Hired 3 staff members: As a result of our rapid growth, we were able to hire three additional staff members to support our Joint Venture partner's expanding business.
  3. IG follows grew from 25K to 50K+ in this timeframe: We were able to double our Joint Venture partner's Instagram following, from 25K to 50K+ in just 10 weeks. This increase in following enabled us to reach a wider audience and drive more traffic to their website.
  4. Podcast landing in the top 4 trending podcasts on Spotify: Our Joint Venture partner's podcast landed in the top 4 trending podcasts on Spotify, increasing their brand visibility and establishing them as a thought leader in their industry.
  5. Accelerated Profit: 10X profit increased throughout both calendar months, hitting a staggering 6 figure p/m profit.

In just 10 weeks, we were able to scale our Joint Venture partner's revenue from 40K p/m to 430K p/m.
